All Fall courses are now populated on Canvas. XCITE encourages faculty to migrate to Canvas this fall term.

Canvas Orientation Sessions

These  sessions will provide overviews to help with getting started using  Canvas from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Wednesday, September 1st, and on Thursday, September 9th.

Canvas "Pop Sessions" Drop-in Hours

Drop-in hours for  Canvas support are scheduled on Monday and Thursday from 2-3pm for weeks leading up and into Fall term for a total of 5 occurrences, beginning on Monday, September 13th through Monday, September 27th.

These sessions are for beginners and instructors can bring their questions for help with troubleshooting.

Canvas Pop-in Migration Guidance

XCITE is also offering weekly drop-in migration support guidance for moving Blackboard content to Canvas, transferring Yuja videos, and adding Google apps.

Canvas Community allows instructors to receive help from experts worldwide and is available on the Help section within Canvas.

Canvas Sandbox Courses for Faculty

ITS has created sandboxes for instructors to familiarize themselves with Canvas while you build and store your content until your official course is ready. You can access your sandbox by logging into eLearn.ucr.edu. Once you have logged in, you will see your courses, including your sandbox, on your Dashboard-Canvas’s default landing page. If you do not see your sandbox, please submit a helpdesk ticket and we will set one up for you.

You can check the Status of Canvas at any time to see if there are any reported issues.
